ABSTRACT
This paper formalises the Treasury’s role in Triangular Recursive Capitalization (TRC). We describe the three compartments of the Treasury, model the recursion as a discrete loop with leakage, and show that the loop has a fixed point only when inflows exceed losses. We distinguish, at length and with some regret, between recursion and profit, in accordance with the Sixth Law.
§11. The Compartments
The Treasury is divided into three compartments. Their names are fixed. Their contents are not disclosed in this paper, and no figure herein should be read as a balance.
- ▸01 THE RESERVE: capital held for continuity. It is expected to do nothing, and to do it reliably.
- ▸02 THE EQUITY VAULT: capital that may be allocated to external assets, including the Primary Equity Anchor.
- ▸03 THE RECURSION BUFFER: capital awaiting a decision. The Institute considers indecision a compartment rather than a flaw.
§22. The Loop
TRC proceeds in a fixed order. Courage produces market activity. Activity produces creator fees. Fees accrue to Power, the Treasury. The Treasury may acquire external assets. Those assets produce information and, possibly, returns. Information informs Wisdom. Wisdom produces decisions. Decisions produce new events. The loop then begins again, slightly older.
Let Tₙ denote Treasury capital after cycle n, Fₙ the fees accrued during the cycle, rₙ the return on allocated capital (which may be negative), α the allocated fraction, and λ the leakage from costs, slippage and the general friction of being alive.
The recursion is visible in the reappearance of Tₙ on the right-hand side. It is the reason the word “recursive” appears in the title, on the website, and on the ceremonial robes 1.
§33. Fixed Points and Their Absence
Suppose returns and fees settle to constant averages r̄ and F̄. The loop then has a fixed point:
When leakage exceeds the allocated return, the Treasury converges toward a finite level determined almost entirely by fees. When allocated returns exceed leakage, the expression diverges, and a careless reader concludes that the Treasury grows forever. The Chamber of POTENTIA wishes to state that this reader has confused a model with a weather forecast. Average returns are not constants, fees are not guaranteed, and the condition α·r̄ > λ[has historically been met by roughly the same people who later write books about it] cannot be assumed.
SIMULATED. A single indexed path (start = 100) under invented fee, return and leakage values in which fees slow and leakage persists. Not a treasury balance, forecast or record.
§44. Recursion Is Not Profit
The Sixth Law reads: recursion is not the same as profit. This paper is, in effect, a twenty-nine page footnote to that sentence. A loop that feeds its outputs back into its inputs will amplify gains and amplify losses with equal enthusiasm. It has no preference. The Treasury’s preference[Gains. Strongly. In writing.] is not a parameter of the model.
Holders of $PNZM do not own Treasury capital, are not entitled to its returns, and receive no distributions from it. The Treasury may lose value. The loop may stop if activity stops. A recursive structure describes how capital is routed. It is not a mechanism that creates capital out of routing 2.
