Why the Triangle Cannot Be Inverted

ABSTRACT
Members of the Institute periodically ask whether the loop of Triangular Recursive Capitalization can be run in reverse: decisions producing information, information producing returns, returns producing activity. This paper argues that it cannot. The ordering of the Ponzium lattice follows from the Third Law, that information precedes allocation, and from the Seventh, that the three forces must remain in balance. Inverting the triangle produces only the Null, enlarged and pointing upward. We close with the more modest reason the loop runs one way: money cannot be summoned by reversing an arrow.
§11. The Proposal
The proposal, submitted most recently by an anonymous Holder, reads in full: “What if the Treasury just made returns first and then people traded because of the returns.” The Council has reviewed the proposal and admires its directness.
In the canonical ordering, Courage precedes Power and Power precedes Wisdom. The proposal would place Wisdom’s outputs at the start of the loop and Courage at the end, as a consequence rather than a cause. This has been tried before, on paper 3.
§22. The Argument from Ordering
Represent the loop as a directed cycle of operators: E for the Engine, T for the Treasury, O for the Oracle. One cycle of TRC applies them in sequence. The operators do not commute.
The right-hand side requires the Oracle to act on information that has not yet been produced, about assets that have not yet been acquired, with capital that has not yet arrived. The Third Law forbids this. Information precedes allocation. Allocation in the absence of information is not inverted recursion. It is guessing, with a logo.
Applied to an empty starting state, the inverted loop returns an empty state. The Council finds (2.2) to be the most elegant equation in the Archive and also the most depressing 1.
§33. The Argument from Balance
The Seventh Law requires the three forces to remain in balance. Simulations of the inverted ordering show the TEAI collapsing within a few cycles, as Wisdom is asked to produce what only Courage can supply.

Geometrically, inverting the Ponzium lattice places the empty central triangle at the top of the figure. The Council’s formal term for this configuration[“Upside down,” after a brief and heated vote] is recorded in the minutes. An inverted triangle is the shape of the Null. To invert the whole is to make the Null the whole.
You may turn the triangle over. You will find the Null was underneath it all along.
§44. The Modest Reason
The Council has offered two arguments of considerable ceremony. In fairness to the anonymous Holder, it offers a third, which is plain. Returns cannot be produced first because returns are not produced on request. The Treasury’s external assets may rise or fall. Creator fees exist only if organic activity exists. No ordering of the triangle, forward or reversed, creates value from nothing, and none of them obliges the market to cooperate 2.
The triangle runs one way because time runs one way, and because the Institute’s founding document[was printed on one side only]. The Institute does not promise returns in either direction. It promises only that the arrows will be drawn correctly.
